Wood type - the Arosa industrial dining table is available in various wood types. As shown, the table is made of new oak. We only use solid oak.

Reclaimed Oak – as our name suggests, we are known for our dining tables made from Old Wood. At Oldwood, we prefer to use old materials and give them a second life. That's why most of the oak dining tables in our showroom are made from European reclaimed oak. Reclaimed oak has a weathered, rustic look. A table made from reclaimed oak is the most sustainable choice; the reclaimed oak tabletops are sawn from old beams that served as structural support in old farmhouses. Reclaimed oak is a very strong wood and lasts forever.

New oak - would you prefer a smoother, flatter tabletop? Then new oak is the best choice. We use only FSC European-certified oak. New oak has a lighter color than old oak and often has some knots and cracks in the top. We can fill these knots and cracks.

Tabletop Finish - Matte varnish is the most common and user-friendly finish. With a matte varnish, the oak retains its natural color and the wood appears untreated. A matte varnish protects the wood from moisture and dirt, and the table can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. You can also choose to finish the table with an oil. However, periodic maintenance is required.
